Project Overview

This small but essential home repair project took place in a unit in Pt Chevalier, Auckland. The homeowner had a problem with her bathroom vanity. A hidden leak in the plumbing caused water to soak into the vanity, which made the cabinet expand and look worn out. Since this bathroom was used frequently, the client wanted the issue to be fixed quickly and correctly.

Luckily, the homeowner was already familiar with Oncore. She had used their services before and trusted the team. It made it easier to get started. She had already picked out a new vanity and tapware online, so Oncore just needed to organise the work and get things installed.

Design & Planning

Although this wasn’t an extensive renovation, the planning was still necessary. The client knew exactly what she wanted, which helped the project move fast. Project Manager Frances Clayton arranged to buy and collect the vanity and tapware for the homeowner. It saved her time and made things easier.

During the planning stage, the client also decided to repaint both bathrooms. It turned a simple repair into a minor refresh. The Oncore team scheduled the work to be completed in five days. Everything was carefully organised so that there would be no delays or extra costs.

Project Execution

The Oncore team worked quickly and professionally to complete all the tasks. The old vanity was removed and replaced with the new one, and a mirror was added above it. The walls in both bathrooms were painted, giving them a fresh and clean look.

A few extra updates were also included. In the second bathroom, the old heated towel rail was removed and replaced with a new heated towel ladder. It made the bathroom more comfortable and modern. A new two-point plug was installed for extra convenience.

In the lounge area, two LED lights that had stopped working were taken out and replaced with brand-new ones. These small changes helped make the entire home feel brighter and more up-to-date.

Challenges Overcome

This project didn’t have any significant problems, which was great. Because the client was so organised, and the Oncore NZ team was well-prepared, everything went smoothly. Having a clear plan and a project manager who stayed on top of the details helped make sure there were no surprises along the way.

Good communication also helped. Frances kept the client updated throughout the project. Although the work was small, it was still crucial to keep things running smoothly.

Client Feedback

The homeowner was pleased with the results. As a repeat customer, she already trusted Oncore, and this project only confirmed her confidence. She liked that Frances took care of everything from collecting the products to managing the tradespeople.

Although the work was completed quickly, it didn’t feel rushed. The finishes were neat, the space was clean, and everything worked perfectly. The client appreciated how simple the process was and said she would use Oncore again for future projects.

Final Thoughts

Although this project was small, it made a significant difference in the home. Fixing the water-damaged vanity, adding new fixtures, and painting the bathrooms gave the space a clean and updated look. Even replacing a few lights in the lounge helped make the whole unit feel fresher.

It also demonstrated the importance of good planning and clear communication. Because the Oncore NZ team was organised, they finished the job on time and within budget. There were no surprises, just good, solid work.

Whether it’s a major home renovation or a simple repair, Oncore NZ treats every job with care and respect. Projects like this demonstrate how a few strategic updates can enhance a home's appearance and ambience. And with the right team managing it, even a five-day job can feel easy and stress-free.
