Why Healthy Home Assessment is important after 1st of July 2025?

Ensure your rental property meets legal standards and keeps tenants safe and warm. From 1st July 2021, all landlords must ensure their rental properties comply with the Healthy Homes Standards within 120 days of any new, varied, or renewed tenancy agreement. Landlords in New Zealand who fail to meet the Healthy Homes Standards can face fines of up to $7,200 for each breach, and these penalties may be awarded by the Tenancy Tribunal.
